Old Fawdon Hill lives in the beautiful Breamish Valley near Ingram and you can bag this hill as part of the Ingram Hillforts trail. Sitting at 315m high, this hill is just a baby compared to the larger hills over the valley, but is still a canny trek.

As a bonus you get to bag the Old Fawdon Hill trig point too!

From Ingram Bridge car park just head up the permissive path onto Wether Hill and then loop east onto Old Fawdon Hill. Look east at the top to see two hill forts on Castle Knowe and Gibb's Hill.

Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Just under 5km and 260m ascent.
