When you're bagging a hill, sometimes you are rewarded with a trig point or a cairn, but if you're really lucky then you might find a hillfort at the top. There are quite a few hillforts to find in Northumberland and one of them is on top of Wether Hill.

Wether Hill is a pretty straightforward bagging. Simply park at Ingram Bridge and then follow the road back around towards the church until you pick up the permissive path. Then just follow this south all the way to the top of Wether Hill.

Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. 2.5km and 181m of ascent.
