I've walked up Clennell Street quite a few times and if you look to your left you can see this magnificent hill called Lords Seat. I've wondered about heading across, but there are very steep slopes inbetween, so a different route was needed. Here is a photo of it from Clennell Street.
If you're looking to bag Lords Seat, then you're best doing this by walking west along the road from the parking in Alwinton and then through the gate and then just follow a clear path all the way to the top.
A little cairn awaits you to mark your achievement.
Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Just over 3km and 239m of ascent.
Once you're done, head west over the hill when you can also bag Green Side and also the Linbrig Trig Point.
