Black Hag is another hill sitting up on the border ridge just north of the College Valley. At 549m high it's a canny leg stretcher to get to the top.

The easiest way to bag Black Hag is to park at the Mounthooly Bunkhouse (you will need a day permit to park here or walk down from the Hethpool car park), then head north up the valley floor for a few hundred meters before picking up the permissive path that will take you towards the border ridge.

Cracking views over it's neighbour The Schil from the top.

Follow the route above or find it on OS Maps. Around 3km and 295m of climbing.
